garden sprinklerThere can be exemptions and exceptions to the winter sprinkler switch off. If you are establishing a new lawn or garden, you must apply for a temporary exemption to water between 9am and 6pm, outside your rostered watering days, and during the winter switch off period.

Active sporting locations, such as schools and local government ovals, may be permitted to irrigate during winter due to their frequent use, safety considerations and amenity planting.

These exemptions and exceptions are not always automatic therefore you must register or face the risk of receiving a fine.
